Crafting and Pitching Your Broadcast Projects for the Right Slot on the Right Network (1 day course)

Most Commissioning Editors buy most of their programmes from their favourite 5 or 6 companies. To break into their circle of preferred suppliers requires precise researching and crafting of programme ideas, planning the approach, pitching and image of you, your company and your idea with military precision and getting to know the tiny details of networks, slots and Commissioning Editors outputs. On-line commissioning systems pitching blind to Commissioning Editors who don’t know you or your company is a very unlikely way to get commissioned. This course provides an industry map of significant opportunities, and through theories of persuasion, image creation and maintenance, and dissecting the elements of powerful pitches, how to avoid pitching via the slush pile and personal feedback on your own current pitches, equips you to ensure you and your proposals are taken seriously and get noticed.
